Kefir in Turkish means good feeling. Home made Kefir drinks are magic, fun, affordable, creative, and healthy:-) You buy Kefir grains (live mushroom), put them in a clean jar and add milk, stir it, cover it with coffee filter and leave it in a cupboard for two days, stir it, drain it and mix it with ice and any fruit you like, blend it and make your own Kefir drink or shake or mix it with different vegetables like cucumber , dill, mint, and so on for your side dish. You can also use it as salad dressing or mix with your cereal or strain it with cheese cloth and make kefir cheese:-) Wash the grains and repeat the process.
