Organic Thai Tea & Thai Green Tea

Bubble tea, boba tea, or pearl milk tea is one of my favorite cold drinks. I started to drink this fun and refreshing tea when I lived in Thailand. Orange Thai tea, green tea, and macha latte all tasted wonderful. When I came back I tried to make bubbles with tapioca pearls/ starch and with matcha and agar agar. You can be creative with their colors and they are all delicious. Tapioca pearls are made out of casava root starch and after you cook them, they are chewy and fun.

Macha is a much more potent tea than green tea, because for green tea we brew the leaves and discard the leaves and with macha, we consume the leaves, which are full of special and unique antioxidant and chlorophyll. This helps preventing cancer, specially liver cancer. A cup of matcha tea is as potent as 1o cups of green tea and it has 15 times more antioxidant than pomigranate and blueberries. Acording to some studies drinking one cup matcha a day can help your heart to be healthy and prevents diabetes and high cholesterol. But better than that, the best effect of matcha in your health is reducing stress and anxiety. It makes you relaxed and focused. It helps your memory and improves your cognitive tasks. However, like everything else moderation is the key, enjoy a cup of boba tea made with matcha today. 🙂
