Eating raw radishes are more popular in Eastern countries, while its nutritional values have made them attractive to the West countries as well. Radishes are full of water, fiber, vitamins, specially vitamin C, Minerals, and antioxidants. They have cooling and hydrating effects, which makes them appealing in hot days. Also because of their vitamin C, they have some preventive effect on viral diseases such as common cold. Because of fiber, they have soothing effect on digestive system, preventing bloating. The minerals in radishes along with fiber and vitamins have cancer-protecting effect. You can use radishes as side dish or slice them in your salad and sandwiches. You also can use sliced radishes as chips to serve hummus.
