Organic Coconut

When I was a child, one of our street food and snacks was dried coconut along with tamarind, dried plum, dried sour cherries, fruit rolls, roasted beets, roasted corn, baked lima beens, and many more fruits, nuts, and vegetables. In those days we ate everything seasonal, fresh, and local. Nobody categorized any produce as organic or non organic, because all produce were organic. When I was in Thailand, once again I enjoyed this fruit in all seasons. My neighbors had sharp long knives special for cutting the head of new cocnuts and when they saw me coming, they picked a coconut, cut it, put a straw in it and handed it to me with a spoon for scraping the young flesh of delicious cocnut after I finished the water.

They have done studies on tribes that eat a lot of coconut in different forms of coconut flesh, coconut water, coconut milk, coconut oil, and cocnut butter and they saw that those tribes were much healthier than others with less heart disease and less high cholesterol. Because of so many health benefits related to coconut, it is placed in super fruit category and the coconut tree is called tree of life. eating coconut oil actually reduces fat in body and it helps in weight loss. It increases immunity and when it is digested, the resulted products in body fights all kind of infections and clears mind and prevents alzheimer and seizures. Coconut is full of fiber, vitamines and minerals. Coconut water has similar minerals as human plasma and it has even been used for plasma transfusion before. It is so refreshing in hot tropical weather. Coconut milk is a good replacement for those who have lactose intolerance and they can get enough calcium for their bone and teeth from coconut milk and it prevents osteoporosis. Coconut oil is not only for consumption, but also is a fabulous tropical remedy for shiny and healthy hair, white and healthy teath and gum, and moist and healthy skin. Use coconut and use it wisely 🙂
